Dining in Paris

Known as the "City of Lights", Paris, the capital of France glows in the night. Its location in Europe makes it a popular tourist destination. For many years, Paris has been known as a very cultured city and offers palate options for both the discriminating and adventurous palate.

If you desire something that is truly French, consider Gerard Besson where you can enjoy European cuisine that is traditional and prepared very tastefully. It is known for its gamey dishes and only the best food is served at this establishment. You can order your meal a la carte or enjoy an amazing main course. Another place you may want to consider enjoying is Le Grand Venise which specializes in Italian cuisine. This romantic restaurant is decorated with fresh flowers making your dinner a pleasurable experience. Or, maybe, L'Ambroisie which offers French specialties such as foie gras in an eclectic atmosphere. It also offers one of the most extensive wine lists in Paris.

For a truly one of a kind experience, consider having your meal at the Eiffel Tower where you can enjoy your dining experience above the city. On the first level is Le 58 Tour Eiffel where you can enjoy some of France's well known cuisine in an eclectic atmosphere overlooking the Trocadero Palace. Reservations are required and seats can be hard to come by. Another option in the Eiffel Tower is Le Jules Vernes on the second level in decor that is decidedly contemporary. The cuisine is reputed to be excellent, though a little more expensive than other area restaurants and reservations are necessary.

For a more casual dining atmosphere, consider dining at one of the many bistros or cafes located in the downtown area. One of these is L‘Ami Louis which has been serving Paris cafe staples since before World War I. Also consider Cafe Benoit, which is known for its friendliness and has been serving French cuisine in the traditional way since 1912.
